Adopting A Friend 

Thank you for considering a rescued German Shepherd to become a part of your family. Our adoption process consists of submitting an application, having veterinary and personal references checked, a phone screen with the adoption/application coordinator and a home visit. We strive to match up the right dogs with the right families because we want to make GREAT and permanent matches. This is why we feel it is so important to be thorough during the application process. 

Our adoption fee is $250. The adoption fee helps to cover the expenses the rescue incurs providing excellent vet care to all the dogs that come into our care. Our dogs are adopted out up to date on all of his/her shots, spayed or neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. Since many of our dogs come to us as strays or from owners who did not properly care for them, many come to us heartworm positive. If this is the case, they'll be listed here immediately so people can see them and inquire, but will be treated (by the safest and most effective treatment our vet deems necessary) and, if necessary allowed time to recover before being released to their forever home. We want every Noble Shepherd Rescue dog to have a great start to their new life!

THE APPLICATION IS THE FIRST STEP IN THIS PROCESS SO PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS AND WITH AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE.IF A QUESTION IS NOT APPLICABLE TO YOU THEN LIST N/A IN THE FIELD. ANY MISSING INFORMATION WILL ONLY RESULT IN A DELAY IN PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION.

PLEASE CALL YOUR VET TO GIVE PERMISSION TO YOUR VETS OFFICE TO SPEAK TO OUR ADOPTION COORDINATOR AND PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEIR RECORDS ARE CURRENT AND THAT ALL YOUR PETS ARE IN THEIR SYSTEM. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LIST YOUR CURRENT VET AND YOUR PREVIOUS VET IF YOU HAVE SEEN THEM FOR LESS THAN 5 YEARS.  IF WE ARE UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT YOUR PETS ARE CURRENT ON VACCINES, PREVENTATIVES AND SPAYED/NEUTERED WE WILL BE UNABLE TO CONTINUE PROCESSING YOUR APPLICATION.

Even if you do not see the dog you are looking for on our site, go ahead and go through the approval process. The majority of homeless animals in the Carolina's do not make it to the internet so if we have an approved applicant for a certain kind of dog we can bring that dog into our foster program or put you in touch directly with the shelter or individual rehoming the animal. Please be aware that this is not a quick process as we are all volunteers who work full time jobs and are very involved in the rescue community. We ask that you please be patient. We want to assure that our dogs are placed in appropriate homes and that they will truly be their forever homes!
